unit 5.1 FUTURE
to indicate that something in the (near) future will come to pass, use the future (future tense). There are several ways to future tense. a common form is to be going to + verb.
Sharon is going to see her friend going. sharon ziet haar vriend(in) vanavond.
those people are going to travel by plane. die mensen zullen met het vliegtuig reizen.
Another way to indicate future tense is a form with will/shall + whole verb.
you will see that i'm right. je zult zien dat ik gelijk heb.
shall i help you? zal ik je helpen?
they will 5take the car to paris. ze zullen met de auto naar Parijs gaan.

je kunt 'will' gebruiken bij elke vorm van 'i' t/m 'they' maar 'shall' kun je alleen gebruiken bij 'i' en 'we'.
often word shall used in an interrogative sentence
in a negative sense you will not merge to won't. often you can also see the shortened form in an ordinary sense. that shortened form looks like this:
we'll go to LA next week. we gaan volgende week naar LA.
